AU Billboard Campaigns

This billboard project for Anderson University evolved through multiple concept phases before reaching its final direction. Early explorations included a Trojan-themed concept and another inspired by The Lord of the Rings, both aimed at creating bold, narrative-driven visuals but ultimately set aside. I also collaborated with AnMed on a co-branded billboard highlighting the connection between nursing and football.

With little initial direction, this project required persistence, flexibility, and creative leadership. I consistently presented new ideas and refined the work until the final outcome emerged as a cohesive series of academic program billboards focused on clarity, consistency, and long-term usability. The project reflects my ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering strong, brand-aligned solutions.

"Epic Journey's Begin Here" Concept

A playful Trojan-inspired billboard series that reimagines classical myths with modern student journeys. Each board pairs a witty headline with a clever visual—like a Trojan horse for admissions or Odysseus for med school—using humor and familiar imagery to make Anderson University's Trojan mascot stand out while staying memorable and approachable.

This concept uses humor to lower barriers and humanize the admissions process. By reworking the Trojan Horse narrative, it reinforces that every student’s path into AU is unique and story-driven.

This concept positions the medical pathway as a direct, purposeful journey, using Trojan imagery to emphasize momentum and clarity. The headline reinforces AU as a streamlined launch point into medicine with no unnecessary detours.

South Carolina School of the Arts. Inspired by storytelling and flight, this concept frames creativity as both narrative and movement. Myth-inspired visuals reinforce the idea that artists at AU are free to create, explore, and define their own legends.

Tagline: Legends are Drawn Here OR Where Creativity Takes Wing

Using a clever nod to the Trojan Horse, this concept reframes a familiar myth through a modern cybersecurity lens. The visual metaphor emphasizes intelligence, strategy, and defense over brute force.

This concept focuses on speed, efficiency, and forward motion, comparing fast-track nursing programs to ancient transportation reimagined for modern urgency. The tone is confident, energetic, and career-driven.

Blending myth and modern science, this concept highlights the transformation from legendary battles to real-world healing. The messaging emphasizes preparation, purpose, and impact in medical research.

"The Road Ahead" Concept

The Lord of the Rings–inspired campaign transforms the student journey into an epic adventure. By using iconic references, the billboards frame Anderson University as the place where students begin their own heroic story. Each execution pairs a bold, minimalist design with adventurous headlines that echo Tolkien’s world while staying fresh and approachable. The campaign feels epic yet inviting, sparking imagination and positioning the university as the gateway to the next great journey.

Admissions is positioned as the beginning of a shared journey. Fellowship, belonging, and purpose are central themes, inviting students to take their first step into something larger than themselves.

This concept highlights healing as a calling, positioning medical students as light-bearers in moments of darkness. The tone emphasizes service, sacrifice, and purpose as the foundation of a noble journey.

South Carolina School of the Arts. Creativity is framed as world-building, where imagination becomes legacy. This concept celebrates artistic endurance and the power of storytelling through creation.

A playful yet powerful reference reframes digital defense as modern guardianship. This concept highlights vigilance, resilience, and protection in an increasingly complex world.

Headline: Hackers shall not pass

Tagline: There is always hope-- and a firewall

This concept honors caregiving as both a strength and a service. The language elevates nursing as a vocation grounded in compassion, endurance, and human connection.

Headline: The hands of the healer shall be honored

This concept frames research as a response to a greater calling, where even small breakthroughs carry profound weight. The messaging emphasizes hope, perseverance, and impact.

Anmed x AU Concept

A dynamized graphic inspired billboard concept. This early development was inspired by "loud" and energized athletic graphics to bring some new life into a well-established brand.
